Poet ANASTASIA CLARK
announces she will appear at Miramar
High School- as part of its annual April
National Poetry Month celebration. The event, entitled “Poetry Café,” will take place on April 23, 2008 from 2:45 until
5:00pm in the school Media
Center. Clark will be reading some
of her poetry and also answering questions. Faculty and students will also be
reading poetry and the winners of this year’s poetry contest will be announced.
Light refreshments will be served. The school is located at 3601 SW 89th St. Miramar,

Clark is the author of several full-length books- including Grieving
With Poetry- poems written after the death of her parents,
Bloodsongs- poetry about women’s issues, Skeletons
and Other Complaints- poetry about life’s challenges and Vagabond
Pond- poems about feeling lost. Clark is also the author
of the POETRY PETALS collection- themed booklets designed for gift and
floral baskets. Titles include Healing Poems, Inspirational Poems, Romantic
Poems, Nostalgic Poems and Humorous Poems.
Clark (Moore)
grew up in Framingham, MA, where she served as Poet-In-Residence to the Framingham Public Schools during 1977-78. She
served in the U. S. Marine Corps and also completed a Master of Science in
Administration. She currently resides in Miramar, FL
and conducts poetry readings at various libraries, schools, galleries, coffee
shops and similar venues.
