Family Days return to Bonnet House
Beginning Saturday, April 12 with
Special Performances by Amy Carol Webb
and Poet Anastasia Clark
Fort Lauderdale, FL, February
29, 2008…Bonnet House Museum & Gardens is
offering its discounted Family Days once again beginning Saturday, April 12
with an electrifying performance by the inspirational edu-tainer, Amy Carol
Webb and a poetry reading from published poet, Anastasia Clark. The entire
family can experience Amy’s deep liquid voice and signature style with Sing Me The River, Songs
and Stories of Florida’s Living Waters. Travel
this rare world with Amy in song and spoken word, from the storied beauty of
the Suwannee to the historic commerce along the Miami River and the Earth’s
only River of Grass,
our precious Everglades. Also at Bonnet House
is published author and poet, Anastasia Clark, who will be on the property’s
Chickee Bridge reading from her many published books of poetry.
Amy Carol Webb will be
performing on the Allee at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm and Anastasia Clark’s poetry readings will be at 12:30 and 2:30 pm on the Chickee Bridge.
Families will also have the
opportunity to tour the historic house museum filled with a delightful
collection of art and personal treasures from the Bartlett family as well as explore the nature
trails filled with native plants, trees and an occasional monkey, swan or fox.
Bonnet House is open from 10am – 4pm with the last guided tour
starting at 2:30pm. Family
Earth Day prices are $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under.
